FSWERKS Lower Rear Engine Mount - Ford Focus Duratec 2.0L 2008-2011

The Ford Focus factory engine mounts were designed as soft, flexible units, to provide a comfortable drive. The drawback was the relatively large amount of engine movement the OEM mounts allowed under torque load and on hard acceleration. Such engine movement decreases stability under high performance driving conditions and rapid gear selection.
To reduce this movement FSWERKS engineered a complete fitted replacement with specially shaped molded, 70A durometer polyurethane inserts. The mount body is machined from billet aircraft grade aluminum, being almost twice as strong than the OE cast material. Installation should take no more than 15 minutes. This high performance mount provides a difference in the stability of the car when accelerating and braking hard. Gear changing under hard acceleration is also enhanced.
Replacement polyurethane and metal inserts are also offered.
NOTE: For street use, we recommend using only the rear engine mount. Using all mounts together will cause some vibration (due to the nature of performance polyurethane mounts) that may not be desired for a daily driver, and is more for track use (Road racing, drag racing, autocross, etc).

If you are going to increase the horsepower, then it is a good idea to improve the engine mounts. This is a very well-made part and I suggest it to anyone. The shipping was also very good.

Experience all together positive. Took advantage of a “blemished”dogbone on sale. After repeatedly watching various you tube how to’s I was ready. Pre lubed all contact points. Used ramps… jack with wooden spacer. Bone bolts first… mounting hinge second. Cleaned area and lightly lubed it. Holes eventually lined up….jiggled the engine/trans area till final holes lined up. Don’t forget: the bushing surface with the beveled edge faces down. Torqued to safe specs: 38/40 ft. Pounds. Little more squeaks than before but for an auto…. It’s okay. With the new FSWERKS sway bars and CAI it’s more responsive. Worth the $ and time. Good luck!

My 09 Focus is mostly a daily driver and commuter, but having upgraded the exhaust, intake, and the clutch from FSWERKS, this mount really ties everything together. The old stock mount was difficult to get out without removing the entire bracket (lots of prying because I didn't have lots of different angled wrenches to get at one of the bolts that's hard to reach), but this mount slips right in place with no issue and is excellent. Holds the motor tight to the frame when accelerating, helps with clutch feel as well because the mount isn't eating up all the engine rotation. Makes me feel just that much more connected to the car when i'm driving, and i really like that.
