Because of its unique and organic composition, cotton is the ideal material for use in high performance air filters. But beyond the mere use of the material, Cobb High Performance Air Filters are uniquely designed to take full advantage of cotton's capabilities.
Unlike multi-layer gauze filters which can fray and release fiber particles into your engine, Cobb air filters use two layers of tightly-interwoven cotton fabric. The 3 main benefits to woven cotton are the fact its thinner, holds oil better, and is stronger. Since its thinner, it allows better air flow without sacrificing filtration. The cotton holds the oil more evenly, and the medium is much stronger. Unlike gauze, you cannot wear a hole in woven cotton by rubbing it, and there is no way small bits of cotton can rip off since its interlocked with another piece.
Cross weaving one fine, and one medium layer, produces a fabric that is thinner and stronger than other materials and has the ability to trap dirt up down to 5 microns. The result is better airflow without sacrificing filtration. And because the fabric is so durable, they can be washed and reused over and over, which allows us to give it a lifetime guarantee.
Cobb air filters are coated in steel mesh for extra strength and durability, because of this, Cobb filters are much more dent resistant.

Love the sound. Gives a good rumble and not some cheap sound either like you hear on some vehicles. Deep tone. Only issue wasn't long enough for my car. About a foot gap between the back piece and middle section over the rear axle. But I made it work and now my exhaust is hidden which makes it just that more awesome
COBB AIR FILTER FOCUS SE
Was looking for more performance on my 2015 Ford Focus and this did the trick. More pick up in 1st and 2nd. Very deep growl from factory which makes the car sound even more mean. Definitely recommend this Cobb air filter! Only wish they had it in blue to match the rest of my accent colors to my car!

Bought the filter, it had arrived in two days, even with the cheaper ordering option. Very high quality, oiling was even and thorough. Was surprised the open end was so deep, gives it a much greater surface area. With the snorkel deleted, it gave it more air for sure. A little more pick up on the butt dyno, and just feels so much more responsive. Also, deep growl with WOT, but not too loud, just perfect. Would take out parts of my car again, would recommend.

Cheap power upgrade
Installing this filter and leaving the cover off your airbox is good for about a 5 hp increase on the dyno. It sounds really deep and powerful when you get on it and acceleration is noticeably improved. Definitely worth the 52 bucks, although a cold air intake will see more than twice the gains.
