I’m really enjoying my new air intake system!! Price was good, shipping was excellent and the installation was easy!! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!! Thank you FSWERKS!!!
Thanks for your feedback John :-)
Love it. Fit perfectly and it sounds a little like a turbo. My gas pedal is noticeably more responsive.
I was looking for a quality product to replace the factory lifetime air filter system. This product is high quality and fit like a glove. I decided to add the protective pre filter cover after. Car is definately more responsive. I would definately recommend it
Everything went great! Got everything installed in an hour or so. Hardest part was getting old intake out.
Do yourself a favor and don't settle for the "short ram intake" that everyone does. I made my own intake before this one and I seriously regret not getting the fswerks one sooner. This intake delivers so much more power.
Pretty easy to install also gives the car a great sound paired with the race catback hoping to get a tune on it soon! pulls harder, gets pretty good mileage too
Simple to put in ( wife’s 08 Focus ) works great and the car runs better and has more kick in it. Better then the K&N intake I had on it. I’d recommend it
Combined with their race exhaust kit, the FSWERKS CAI has turned a mild compact sedan into a disturbingly loud (to others, I love it though) monster that apparently attracts cops more than a Subaru STI backfiring down the road (I started my car one day and a cop immediately whipped a U turn and tailed me home from work). This company is the reason why I don't think I'm ever gonna sell my Focus, since my lack of horsepower is masked by the wall of sound out my tailpipe.
I got this intake because I was very unhappy with steeda' s "CAI" and it was very similar to the intake I had on my original 05 focus back in 05. There is a noticeable increase in power over stock and the steeda intake. Also the car sounds better on the intake end!
The intake sounds amazing and it’s great except for the connecting hose to the engine slides off every time I return home, and it’s not a long drive it’s a short drive. I tight it really good and it still comes off. Idk what I’m doing wrong, but thanks.
Please give us a call so we can get the solution for you on this.
My 03 Focus was not running to its full potential I thought. So I did some research and Fswerks Cool-flo system looked like it worked the best. It does better performance and gas mileage I would highly recommend it.
2009 Ford Focus fit great
Easy to order, shipment on time, love the intake. Install was not quite as easy as suggested as I needed to pull the maf sensor off of its mounts to reach. Also I would suggest including a link to a video to reset the ecm. This is an important process when changing things on the motor. Other than that, everything was great.
Honestly any CAI will do, I got this one because it removes all the heat from the engine. it sounds great and my car is a little bit more powerful. cons are it doesn't fit 100% like its supposed, you have to stretch out the MAF sensor ( wish they put it at better spot) and regularly inspecting the air filter may be pain (other CAI have the filter at the top) anyways ill keep looking at fswerks since they are one of the few people who actually make anything for the duratec 2.0, cant wait to see how their other products handle.
Removing the old intake was a bit easier than putting on the new one. Had trouble with the little circle plastic cover to cover one end . They made it a little smaller so it gets the good snug fit just gotta kind of force it on by twisting it on there . But gives great air flow and I just bought the cover for it so it doesn’t get damaged or damage engine from Sucking things in
Great service very helpful.
This intake is expertly crafted. Install is a breeze and it truly gives the gains it promises to the engine. Highly recommend this intake kit! You won’t regret it.
Thanks for your feedback William :-)
Check engine light came on
Hi Eddie, you may have a vacuum leak or the MAF sensor is not connected properly. Please call us for assistance on this and have the check engine light code available if you have it. Thank you
So far it has been pretty amazing! It definitely gives you way more power in the low RPM, seems like the car should have felt this way the whole time! One this is it leaks air quite frequenlty, it needs a small clamp for the top sensor connection on the intake as you just shove the censor inside the tube with nothing to tighten it down. Not a huge issue, would definitely reccomend! 2005 Ford Focus zx4 ST
Removing the old intake (2004 Focus Sedan 2.3L) was a matter of unbolting the various airboxes, tubes, covers, and snorkels. PZEV systems get crazy really fast. It took maybe thirty minutes. Installing this system is as easy as slipping the short silicone sections over the ends, securing them with band clamps, then sticking it on the throttle body and clamping it down. There is 1 bolt to be fastened, and a little mount is included as the new system is a slightly different shape at that location. Little tip: when you have the MAF sensor out of the old system, give it a spray of some MAF cleaner as preventative maintenance. The engine became considerably more growly with this system, throttle response piped up significantly, and you can hear a faint whoosh when you stomp the pedal. Torque below 2k RPM has also improved significantly, though some of that may be due to the "lifetime" filter never having been replaced in 207k miles. Worth all the money and then some. Get the "pre-filter" cover for it too, it'll make filter cleanings easier and less frequent and it's pretty cheap.
